Virginia Kling has extensive experience in litigating family law cases on behalf of parents, caregivers and children. Most recently, Ms. Kling served as Legal Director of the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project where, in addition to being responsible for the oversight of legal issues and attorney training programs, she represented clients in custody, divorce, civil protection order and child support proceedings. Ms. Kling previously had a private family law practice in which she represented adults and children in the District of Columbia and Maryland, including custody, divorce, child support, neglect, adoption and guardianship matters.  Prior to practicing family law, Ms. Kling was a partner at Baach Robinson and Lewis, an associate at Wilmer Cutler & Pickering, and a judicial clerk for the Honorable James A. Belson of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. 

Bar memberships: District of Columbia, Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and the United States Supreme Court.

Academics: Ms. Kling received her law degree magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center and her undergraduate degree cum laude from Williams College, and also did coursework towards a Masters in Social Work at University of Maryland, Baltimore.
